Friday
Everyone shows up Friday whenever they can and sets up camp. We understand people have work, so feel free to come after (or Saturday morning)! We will be staying at the ROBERT H TREMAN STATE PARK (http://parks.ny.gov/parks/135/details.aspx) campground. We stay there every year - it is a really nice campground with clean bathrooms (bonus!). There are a TON of beautiful hiking trails, waterfalls (over 100 waterfalls in a 10 square mile of downtown!), great restaurants, etc in Ithaca. Come ride up with us! We will be driving a van up on Friday morning, so if you want to ride with us, let us know by clicking here! We plan on setting up camp, hiking, and having dinner downtown on Friday. The earlier you arrive, the more time you will have to explore this fun area! Saturday Have breakfast in the morning (on your own) then, we will be taking a van around for a winery/brewery tour! Ithaca has over 100 wineries and breweries! We are renting a 15-passenger van (same as last year), and would appreciate everyone chipping in to help cover the cost. After the winery tour, please join us by the campfire for more fun! Feel free to bring s'mores, beverages, snacks, guitars, etc! Sunday Quick breakfast in the morning (on your own) then it's time to clean up camp and say goodbye. *THIS SOUNDS GREAT, BUT I HATE CAMPING* We realize camping isn't for everyone - there are also hotels and B&B's nearby for those that do not like camping. If you decide to go but don't want to camp, please let us know ASAP so we can add you to the beer/wine trail shuttle list. Some people stayed here last year and loved it: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15679214 Bostwick House Bed & Breakfast (http://www.bostwickhouse.com/) The Hound & Hare Bed & Breakfast (http://www.houndandhare.com/) Best Western Inn (http://bestwesternnewyork.com/hotels/best-western-university-inn-ithaca/) Econolodge (https://www.choicehotels.com/new-york/ithaca/econo-lodge-hotels/ny127) Also - if you want to camp and you don't have a tent, just let the group know. A lot of people that are coming have several tents. |
